Summary Responsible for generating new installation projects for alarm systems through electrical contractors, GCs, and end users, estimating project based on cost of labor, equipment, and materials; Assistance in securing the monitoring/service contract following the installation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Identify, develop, and maintain quality clients within the Fire Alarm market that align with the growth strategy of the business. * Develop, implement, and maintain market-specific business plans for growth. * Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. * Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. * Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. * Estimate projects including fixed price service as required for projects ranging from $100k-$1MM+. * Ability to build new business associations / relationships, attend industry networking events, and grow market share. * Manage projects as needed (ie.change orders, field issues) and attend job walks and construction meetings as needed. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or 5+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior fire alarm or low voltage sales experience is preferred. Computer Skills Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
