American Pride Rental Equipment & Sales in Sarasota FL is currently hiring a Class A CDL Driver for local delivery and pickups of light to medium construction equipment. Candidate will be driving a Ford F350 pickup with a 34' gooseneck trailer in city traffic and residential neighborhoods. * Local / City Driving * Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers * Obeying and following applicable traffic laws * Loading and unloading construction equipment and balancing it within the vehicle * Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations * Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving * Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules * Complying with truck driving rules and regulations * Reporting defects, accidents and violations * Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.) * Interacting with customers in a professional manner * Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports * Verifying loads for accuracy Job Type: Full-time Benefits: * Paid time off Trucking Driver Type: * Company driver Trucking Route: * Local Work Days: * Weekdays * Weekends as needed License/Certification: * CDL A (Required) Ability to Commute: * Sarasota, FL 34233 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Sarasota, FL 34233: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
