Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with financial software. Duties * Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies. * Perform data entry tasks related to accounts payable transactions. * Maintain the general ledger accounting by ensuring all entries are recorded accurately. * Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting. * Collaborate with human resources to ensure accurate processing of employee-related expenses through systems like Builder trend, One Note and . * Support technical accounting initiatives as needed, providing insights into financial processes. * Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Qualifications * Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting principles. * Proficient in accounting System. * Experience with financial software is preferred; familiarity with Paychex or Workday is a plus. * Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. * Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements is highly desirable. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. * Previous experience in an accounts payable role or similar financial position is advantageous.
