Position Overview Telchemy is a leading provider of the analytics software used to monitor the performance of real time voice, videoconferencing and video streaming services. Our technology enables service providers to deliver reliable service to their customers, and large enterprises to ensure that employees have reliable connectivity whether they work from home or from the office. We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sales Engineer to work with new customers, develop solutions to prospective customer problems, and support the sales process. Position Responsibilities * Develop deep technical understanding of Telchemy products and solutions and how they address potential customer needs * Support Account Managers with technical prospects and customer engagements * Provide solution descriptions and design documents required to communicate solution compatibility to the customer * Provide voice of customer feedback to product management team to support identification and development of future portfolio offerings * Act as a primary technical liaison between the customer and internal sales, service, product, and marketing teams Technical Requirements * Advanced level OS skills (Linux/Windows/Mac/Android), including installation, system administration and troubleshooting * Advanced level web application configuration and analysis (Proxy, SSL, Java) * Advanced networking skills (TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, IPv4/IPv6 routing, firewalls and SSL/IPSec VPNs) * Scripting experience helpful but not required * Expertise with virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) * Database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL) General Education/Experience/Skills Requirements * Bachelor's degree - exceptional candidates without a degree will be considered * Start-up and customer facing experience * Experience supporting production unified communications platforms and related technologies * Understanding of unified communications / network architecture / service provider and enterprise environments as well as network planning, optimization and troubleshooting for IP networks and real-time applications * Customer-centric approach to metrics, performance engineering, planning, optimization and quality * Experience with large-scale carrier grade / enterprise software solutions * Understanding of Big Data, Customer Experience Management and Business Intelligence concepts * Knowledge and understanding of key vendors in network management, unified communications and network infrastructure * Experience in technical pre-sales and an understanding of the sales process (5+ years) * A self-motivated, can-do, and proactive attitude with the ability to work independently * Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment * Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills * Ability to clearly convey information and ideas, including executive communication and presentation skills * English speaking is a must - any additional language is a plus This is a full time position in our Alpharetta, GA office.
