Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Accounts Payable Manager to join our team as we continue to expand our operations to all lower 48 states. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for vendor payments, supporting tech stack integrations, process improvements, and team development. The ideal candidate has a strong background in financial controls, tax compliance, automation, and excels at leading large, cross- functional teams. Location: On-Site in Austin, TX Compensation: $90,000 - 100,000 annually Key Responsibilities * Lead daily accounts payable operations with full ownership of timely and accurate vendor payments, while strategically optimizing vendor rebates and early payment discount programs to maximize cost savings. * Manage and mentor a team of 7+ AP professionals serving our 50+ branches in various time zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific). * Ensure all operating entity transactions are recorded in compliance with U.S. GAAP, including accounting standards under ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) * Oversee and review month-end closing processes and ensure timely reconciliations across all entities. * Build strong partnerships with cross-functional leaders to understand operational needs and drive financial alignment. * Proactively resolve installer disputes and payment issues, managing escalations and expectations * Analyze budget-to-actual activity to report on variances, including the rationale for changes in budget projections to prepare monthly financial reporting packages * Monitor KPIs and productivity metrics; identify opportunities for automation and cost-effective process improvements. * Lead initiatives to address root causes of transactional defects and ensure long-term resolution. * Own business personal property tax, Escheatment / Unclaimed Property, and annual 1099 filings. * Support the tax return process, ensuring timely completion of state and local tax filings as well as payments for all operating entities. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA preferred * Strong experience with reporting tools and dashboards (Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, etc) * 5+ years experience in high transactional volume role(s), financial operations, accounting systems, or FP&A * Proficient in Business Personal Property filings and 1099 compliance * 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team of 6+. * 3+ years of experience implementing process improvements and automation. * 3+ years building financial/operational reports and data sets to support decision-making.
