Team Member: Caring Transitions of Roswell & Buckhead We are Growing! ....and we need team players to help us meet the growing demand for our services in the Senior Industry. Caring Transitions is a locally owned and operated company in the Roswell and Buckhead area that provides older adults and their families with much-needed services such as: * Downsizing (Sorting homes for Donate, Distribute and Sell) * Online Estate Sales (Filming and Selling Items across our proprietary platform) * Relocation (Pack, Unpack & Organize to create a safe home in a retirement community) We are currently seeking team members who love to help others. Retirees who want to give back or individuals with a flexible daytime schedule are encouraged to apply to our amazing team. Our team member role is trained in all aspects of our business including both the moving and relocation projects as well as the prep for the on-line estate sales. In this role, you will be sorting, organizing, boxing items, moving, packing, unpacking, resettling, adhering to floor plans, and other similar activities during the relocation project process. During the on-line auction process the position involves photographing and posting items for sale on our CTBIDS online auction platform including researching the potential value of items and understanding their history in order to create descriptions that will attract buyers and help increase the value of the items during the auction process. You will also work to package the items that are photographed and work on-site during the pickup process where there is direct customer interaction as the customers pick up their winning auction items. Other work could include packaging items for shipping and other special packaging for customers as required. Typical hours 9 am - 4 pm, mostly weekdays. Occasionally weekend work is available for those that are interested. All work takes place at the various customer locations within our territory. You May Be a Great Fit If You: * Believe people matter * Are a great listener and communicator * Are curious but never judgmental * Can take initiative and follow through on multiple priorities * Are compassionate and enjoy working with older adults * Can demonstrate attention to detail Job description (including, but not limited to): * Provide exceptional customer service * Create descriptions and titles for unique items to be sold in our auctions * Photograph and post items for sale * Interact with clients, their families, and other coworkers * Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and/or liquidate unneeded items. * Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes or senior living. * Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal, and cleanout. * Use hand-held devices to create, photograph, and describe items. * Sort, organize, research, label, and handle items for resale. * Assist and interact with buyers during on-site pickups of sold items Job Requirements (including, but not limited to): * No specific experience is necessary outside of the desire to work with a team to benefit our customers and help those going through transition * The successful candidate will be self-motivated and possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships with clients and work effectively within a team. * Must have a valid driver's license and reliable source of transportation to client homes. * Must be able to stand, reach and move/bend for long periods of time * Must be willing to learn and research to understand the value of items being sold * Some experience with photography is preferred but will be taught as needed * Need to be fluent in English and English writing to develop and compose descriptions for items being sold * Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dusty and dirty environments. We provide work gloves, aprons, etc. * Note: we are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and items over 25 pounds.
