Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition following accidents or damage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high- quality workmanship. The Auto Body Technician will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the repairs. Duties * Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repair procedures. * Perform body repairs using techniques such as welding, soldering, and sheet metal work. * Utilize power tools and equipment to repair or replace damaged parts. * Conduct auto estimating to provide accurate quotes for repairs. * Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces. * Apply paint and finish to vehicles ensuring a smooth and professional appearance. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. * Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. * Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines. Skills * Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. * Proficiency in sheet metal repair techniques and auto estimating. * Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred. * Ability to weld and solder effectively for various repair tasks. * Capability of performing heavy lifting as required during repairs. * Knowledge of auto painting techniques and materials. * Familiarity with power tools commonly used in auto body repair.
