Overview

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition following accidents or damage. This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high- quality workmanship. The Auto Body Technician will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the repairs.

Duties

• Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repair procedures.
• Perform body repairs using techniques such as welding, soldering, and sheet metal work.
• Utilize power tools and equipment to repair or replace damaged parts.
• Conduct auto estimating to provide accurate quotes for repairs.
• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
• Apply paint and finish to vehicles ensuring a smooth and professional appearance.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines. Skills
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
• Proficiency in sheet metal repair techniques and auto estimating.
• Experience working in a dealership environment is preferred.
• Ability to weld and solder effectively for various repair tasks.
• Capability of performing heavy lifting as required during repairs.
• Knowledge of auto painting techniques and materials.
• Familiarity with power tools commonly used in auto body repair.
