Job Title: Solution Engineer Location(s): Cincinnati, OH About this position : This position works with the sales team, partners and customers throughout the sales process. The solution engineer serves as a solution evangelist and as a technical liaison to proactively identify potential problem areas and resolve customer issues. The solution engineer will work collaboratively with customers and partners to identify requirements and propose solutions. They will develop training material, application content for corporate website and provide technical training to staff, customers and partners. This position works closely with Product Management to provide voice-of-customer feedback into our product development teams. Responsibilities : * Work with customers and partners to identify effective solutions for sales opportunities via phone, email and on-site visits * Gather customer requirements and collaborate with engineering and eco system partners on applications development. * Be a product and technology expert and evangelist in IoT OT/IT technologies * Work collaboratively with Sales, PM and partners to advance the sales process and resolve customer issues * Develop and present technical content and training to customers and partners * Travel when the project requires field support Qualifications : * Bachelor's degree in technology and 3-5 years relevant experience, or suitable combination * Knowledge of various IoT OT/IT technologies * Must have strong, hands-on experience with IoT system architecture and deployment * A background in software applications development a plus. * Experience in automation control, wireless connectivity or Edge-cloud orchestration * Familiarity with IoT software, such as Linux OS, SCADA, NodeRed, Azure, AWS * Excellent communications, teamwork and presentation skills * Software development experience a plus Benefits : * Competitive salary dependent on experience (DOE) * Winning culture with a friendly, team-oriented environment! * Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance. * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * 401(k) with company match * Education & personal development reimbursement program * Generous vacation and paid holidays package * Company events, and lunches * Work from home program - once eligible * Referral Bonus About Advantech Founded in 1983, Advantech is a leader in providing trusted innovative embedded and automation products and solutions.
