Description: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Consignment Sales Consultant to join our marine dealership team. The Consignment Sales Consultant will be primarily engaged and play a key role in managing the consignment sale process, from intake to sale, ensuring a seamless experience for both sellers and buyers in regard to the sale of consignment boats, trailers, and associated and interrelated marine equipment. This role is vital in promoting and selling such consigned marine boats, trailers, and products within a retail environment. Key and Primary Responsibilities: Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients interested in consigning their boats, tailers, and associated and interrelated marine equipment for sale. Clearly explain the consignment sale process, including pricing, terms, and expectations, in a retail sales context. Sales Promotion: Actively promote, make, and obtain orders and/or contracts for the sale of consigned boats, trailers, and equipment contracts through in-store displays, online listings, and customer outreach. Work within the sales team to drive sales of consigned marine boats, trailers and equipment and ensure they are effectively marketed for sale to potential buyers. Inventory Management: Evaluate and document orders and/or contracts for consignment of marine boats, trailers, and equipment sales, ensuring accurate descriptions, condition reports, and pricing. Maintain an organized and up-to- date consignment sales inventory within the retail environment. Sales Transactions: Assist with negotiations and facilitate the sales process for obtaining orders and contracts for the sale of consigned marine boats, trailers, and equipment. Ensure that all sales transactions are completed in compliance with dealership policies and applicable regulations. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to both sellers and buyers, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Ensure that customers have a positive experience throughout the consignment sales process. Administrative Support: Oversee and address tasks related to consignment sales while ensuring the maintenance of accurate records of all consigned orders, contract, and sales. Ensure all documentation is compliant with retail sale standards. Collaboration: Work closely with other sales and service team members to ensure a cohesive approach to obtaining orders and contracts for the sale of consigned marine boats, trailers, and equipment. Support the overall sales goals of the dealership by contributing to a team-oriented sales environment. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. Experience: Prior experience in retail sales, consignment sales, or a similar role within the marine industry is highly desirable. Experience with inventory management systems and online sales platforms is a plus. Skills: * Strong sales and customer service skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Familiarity with marine boats, trailers, products, equipment and terminology. * Ability to negotiate and close sales effectively. * Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. * Personal Attributes: * Enthusiastic and self-motivated. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Professionalism in all interactions. * Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
