Tutu's Garden located in Boerne, TX is currently seeking a full-time Sales Associate. The position is responsible for selling merchandise, totaling bills and accepting payment. Benefits * Full-time staff's health and welfare benefits are currently 100% company paid and include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability * 401k participation is available after 1 year of service with a company match of up to 4% * Recognized holidays are company paid * Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued per pay period Responsibilities * Deliver exceptional customer experience by welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner, determining customers' needs, answering customers' questions and recommending products that will meet their needs. * Contribute to the achievement of sales goals as established by management. * Maintain product knowledge; as well as knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies regarding payment, returns and exchanges. * Set up displays and keep sales floor stock levels as directed and within the store's visual standards. * Process point of sale transactions accurately and efficiently to ensure correct information is gathered for sales pricing, inventory management and client contact information. * Comply with inventory control policies and procedures, including reporting discrepancies & damages to management and participating in inventory counts. * Adhere to loss prevention procedures to safeguard company assets, prevent and minimize theft, and reduce shortages and fraud. * Bag, package or wrap gifts. * Maintain a cooperative and professional attitude at all times. * Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Requirements * Education - Formal or informal education or training that ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. * Experience - Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required. * Schedule - Available to work 5 days per week, Monday - Saturday from 8:45 am - 5:15 pm. Seasonal operating hours may require a change in hours or days scheduled. * Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. * Basic knowledge of personal computer and ability to use point of sale software. * Skilled at active listening. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, coworkers or supervisors. * Ability to perform all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.
