Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Solar Consultant to join our dynamic team with at least 1 year of sales experience in the field. In this role, you will be responsible for educating potential customers about solar energy solutions, assessing their needs, and providing tailored recommendations. As a Solar Consultant, you will play a crucial role in promoting sustainable energy practices while driving sales growth within the market. Responsibilities * Engage with potential customers to understand their energy needs and provide expert guidance on solar solutions. * Conduct thorough assessments of customer properties to determine the feasibility of solar installations. * Utilize software tools to create customized solar proposals and presentations for clients. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through exceptional customer service. * Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with the technical sales team to stay updated on product offerings and market trends. * Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members as needed. * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using Southern Solar's job tracking resources including job intake forms and open communication with operations. Qualifications * Proven experience in solar sales or technical sales is preferred (1 year +). * Strong understanding of the solar market and renewable energy trends. * Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships. * Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clientele. * Proficient in using software tools for proposal generation and sales tracking. * Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-making processes. * Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and collaboration within the sales team. * A passion for renewable energy and sustainability initiatives is highly desirable.
