We are seeking a seasoned business development professional with a proven track record of closing high-value deals ($10M+ annual revenue) within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors. Candidates without a demonstrated history of successfully closing deals at this level will not be considered. This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic professional to capitalize on a highly competitive commission plan designed for top performers. A moderate level of success in this role will yield annual compensation in excess of $500,000 annually. The Director of Business Development is an individual contributor role responsible for managing the entire business development lifecycle--from prospecting and pitching to closing and cultivating long-term client relationships. You will work closely with executive leadership to align on strategy, drive results, and contribute to our rapid growth. Key Responsibilities * Aggressively identify and secure new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. * Own the sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation, ensuring alignment with both client needs and organizational goals. * Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, commercial leaders, and procurement teams. * Conduct in-depth market and business analyses to craft compelling proposals for large-scale engagements. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that maximize ROI for clients. * Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline activity, forecasts, and performance metrics. What We 're Looking For * A proven history of closing $10M+ annual revenue deals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sectors. * At least 2 years of direct selling experience to pharmaceutical organizations. * Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical sales process and industry landscape, supported by a robust network of contacts. * Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration. * A self-starter with a positive, proactive attitude and a bias for action. * Business acumen and sound judgment to identify opportunities and drive results. * Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
