Purpose: The Technical and Client Relations Manager serves as a liaison between We Are Blood and healthcare partners (EMS, Hospital, and other healthcare facility clients). This role is crucial in fostering strong and collaborative relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction by addressing issues, understanding client needs, and implementing strategies to enhance customer experience. The Technical and Client Relations Manager will also provide technical and quality support to customers and ensure adherence to relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. Responsibilities: * Maintain a formal communications system that includes regular customer site visits and group meetings hosted by We Are Blood to provide education, engage customers, solicit feedback, and enhance customer experience. * Advise clients on technical and regulatory requirements related to blood banking, including FDA regulations and AABB standards to support customer compliance. * Maintain the hospital client portal of the company website to ensure customers have access to appropriate resources. * Participate in the onboarding of new customers in conjunction with the VP of Business Development and VP of Technical & Client Services. * Work closely with the Distribution and Laboratory departments to address customer issues, optimize customer experience, provide customer training and education as necessary related to services, regulatory changes or requirements. * Perform periodic regulatory audits of customer laboratories, including validation documents, operating procedures, blood product storage equipment and temperature monitoring records. Report audit findings to VP of Business Development. Assist with internal audits as needed. * Collect, analyze, and distribute statistics to customers and membership organizations such as Blood Centers of America, AABB, and Americas Blood Centers on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis. * Work closely with the Community Engagement team to enhance donor collection partnerships with customers. * Serve as the principal assistant to Vice President of Business Development; appropriately handling calls and correspondence, coordinate and manage schedules, meeting, tasks, etc. * Assist the Vice President of Business Development with special projects as assigned. * Meet and exceed customer expectations and adhere to established quality practices while seeking to continually improve performance. * Meet and exceed employee program expectations of AMO CommYOUnity! standards: Rewards & Recognition, Communication, Individuality, Integrity, Respect, and Pursuit of Excellence. Skills, Education, Experience: * A high school diploma or equivalent is required. * A Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related field, relatable work experience may substitute for formal higher education. * Prefer at least 3 years of experience in a hospital laboratory, blood bank, biomedical field, QA/QC, or healthcare. * Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office programs and internet research. * Must be knowledgeable in cGMP, FDA, and AABB regulations/standards. Physical/Mental Abilities: * Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and levels of staff. * Ability to self-start, organize and prioritize under changing conditions, manage multiple projects, handle stressful situations and work independently. * Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and complex problem-solving ability. * Ability to sit for extended periods of time. * Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner. * Must be able to assimilate information and draw reasonable conclusions. * Must be able to handle multiple priorities. * Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. * Availability to travel regularly within the service area of the organization. * Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid Texas driver's license, provide an acceptable driving record, and proof of liability insurance.
