Position Overview: Loenbro Industrial Services is seeking a skilled professional to work in a hybrid role of Business Development and Project Engineer (BDPE) for the northwest region of the US. This position will be based out of our office located in Moses Lake, Washington, but residing in Moses Lake is not required. The business development aspect of the role involves building and developing relationships with existing clients while also developing new clients for Loenbro in this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with our clients, opening dialogue regarding capital projects and long-term nested positions, and working closely with senior management to close deals. Upon the completion of deals, it is essential to maintain consistent follow-up with clients. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of developing a comprehensive strategic business development plan. The project engineer portion of the role consists of working with our Industrial Construction teams on project sites. This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned projects run smoothly and if any issues occur, they are corrected immediately. Job Duties: Business Developer: * Identify potential clients in target markets and complete appropriate research on prospective clients' business requirements. * Collaborate with the Area Manager to identify high-value targets and set performance-based quotas. * Develop relationships with prospective clients while maintaining existing client relationships. * Coordinate multiple daily meetings when traveling to different marketplaces. * Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes, and operations, and remain up to date on industry news. * Cold call sales and constant review and tracking of reports in industrialinfo.com (IIR) is mandatory. * Maintain a daily process report for contacts and help establish project priorities. * Input all business contacts and opportunities into Sales Force. * Know, abide, and participate in Loenbro's safety program. * Perform all other duties as assigned. Project Engineer: * Maintain a daily project diary and help establish project priorities. * Maintain daily timecard entry and approval. * Track and record project costs, production quantities, yield statistics, and onsite inventory counts. * Compile cycle times and production information and log this information for historical data. * Gather pay item quantities and collect information on extra work items. * Conduct timely billing and reporting to maximize profit margins and positive cash flow. * Manage and maintain department specific technology and computer programs. * Document schedule delays and perform schedule updates. * Assemble and distribute project plans and specifications updates. * Sustain a comprehensive understanding of the plans and specifications. * Coordinate efforts with management, project technicians, and customers to maintain and meet project scheduling. * Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Project Technicians, Management, Superintendents, and customers to ensure work is accomplished in an effective, profitable, and safe manner. * Ensure proper job controls, i.e., quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule. * Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base. * Ensure accurate reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance. * Assist project in helping to meet or exceed expected margins. * Understanding and documentation of pipeline sampling/testing results. * Perform all other duties assigned. Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering is preferred. * A minimum of two years' experience in business development. * Demonstrated experience in food and beverage and/or agriculture business development. * Experience in the construction industry preferred, refinery setting is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, Microsoft Project, and Teams. * Proficiency in Sales Force CRM is a plus. * Strong work ethic and time management ability. * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills. * Willingness to work both in field and office settings and an ability to work in a high production, fast moving environment. * Must be a team player and can work well with a diverse group of individuals. * Must be able to pass drug and alcohol pre-employment and on-going testing. Essential Requirements: * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Travel throughout the Northwestern United States is required for this position. * Potential exposure to manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments. * Potential or Periodic amounts of time for the following: * * Walking on uneven terrain. * Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel. * Driving if required to travel. * Driving is required for this position; valid driver's license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search and must be 21 years of age to drive a company vehicle.
