Inside Technical Sales Representative As an Inside Technical Sales Representative, you will work closely with customers (via phone and/or in person) to determine how our products can solve their problems through a consultative approach. Customers come to us with standard and unusual requirements, meaning you will need to understand our capabilities and creatively apply them when solving customer problems. An ideal candidate will have industrial sales experience and a technical background. Experience in the machine tool industry is preferred. Must be comfortable making many calls per day, generate interest, qualifying prospects & closing sales. Extensive on-the-job training will be an ongoing part of the position. Qualifications * Background in technical sales or manufacturing * CNC machinery knowledge & experience * Previous experience in customer service/sales * Experience interacting with manufacturing customers and knowledge of production processes/experience in manufacturing * Familiarity with general office procedures, practices, and equipment * Prior experience at a company with similar mechanical or technical products * Knowledge of metalworking machinery, tooling and products through industry journals, trade shows, training and self-study * Enjoy working in a small office environment, hours 8:00 - 4:30 * At this time, remote working is not applicable * Familiarity with E2 Shoptech/JobBoss Software a plus Responsibilities/Skills * Understand product lines and capabilities. * Build, develop, and manage accounts: Increase revenue from established customers, and generate additional revenue from new customers * Respond to inbound customer inquiries via telephone, e-mail, and website forms * Preparing quotations and proposals and proactively follow up to close quotes * Communicate with vendors and suppliers (request pricing, convey technical specifications, etc.) * Provide pre- and post-sales technical assistance and advice * Follow up post-sale with customers ensure satisfaction * Troubleshoot customer concerns, provide and coordinate technical support as needed * Assist with telephone coverage * Occasional travel to customers or suppliers (may be required for sales purposes, training, etc.) * Special projects and additional duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Disability insurance * Health insurance * Life insurance Compensation Package: * Bonus opportunities Schedule: * 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
