Full description of the position
The Customer Service Account Specialist will interact with customers by providing customer quotes, timely order entry, and professional customer service regarding GIS products and services. This role will promptly answer customer emails and/or phone calls for general customer inquiries, new order entries, order status updates, shipping, and customer follow-up. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Receive, process, and submit orders for standard GIS items with existing customers. Order purchase-to-order standard items from GIS vendors. * Verify customer and order information for accuracy, ensuring the required data, item pricing, and details are included for efficient and timely processing of the order. * Inform customers by email or phone of order status updates, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays. * Provide customers with clear and complete information and proactive solutions when answering questions or dealing with issues. * Manage large amounts of incoming emails and monitor incoming emails/orders in common mailboxes. * Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication. * Professionally handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits, and then follow up to ensure resolution. * Coordinate with print, production, and shipping to provide status updates on customer orders. * Accept and process orders according to customer need-by date to ensure on-time order fulfillment. * Utilize Acumatica (UPS WorldShip) to create shipping tickets for orders managed by CS Rep. * Float to assist other CS Reps with creating shipping tickets based on the daily allocation of orders. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS * High School Diploma or equivalent * 2-3 years of customer service and/or order entry experience KEY COMPETENCIES * Excellent communication skills * Attention to detail * Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly * Service-oriented and able to resolve simple and sometimes complicated customer issuesGraphic Information Systems
