Position Summary The Associate Business Advisor is an entry-level sales and support role designed for professionals looking to break into the world of business brokerage and M&A advisory. Associates are embedded in a team and work closely with both a Director and a Buyer Coordinator, gaining hands-on experience in client service, business development, and deal execution. This is a sales development role that offers mentorship, structured growth, and exposure to real transactions from day one. Key Responsibilities * Assist in outbound sales efforts, follow-up with prospects, and client outreach * Support valuations, pricing analysis, and financial recasting * Help create CIMs, teasers, and other deal marketing materials * Manage CRM updates, due diligence documents, and client/buyer correspondence * Participate in client meetings, shadow negotiations, and support closing processes * Collaborate with the Buyer Coordinator to learn buyer screening and lead management * Work alongside the Director to develop skills and progress toward independently managing listings Growth Path * Promotion to Business Advisor targeted within 12-18 months * Structured exposure to all aspects of client acquisition and deal execution Skills Needed * Strong interpersonal and sales aptitude * Professional follow-up and clear written communication * Time management, attention to detail, and task ownership * Curiosity about business models, financials, and negotiations * Comfort with CRM and document management tools Requirements * 0-2 years of experience in business, real estate, finance, or professional sales * Bachelor's degree preferred * Real Estate License preferred; required within first 6 months * Coachable, collaborative, and committed to growth Why Join EDGE Business Advisors?
