We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Sales Manager - Residential Roofing to lead our residential sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales management, with proven experience in business development and account management. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to recruit and train, and a passion for achieving sales targets. The General Sales Manager - Residential Roofing will be responsible for developing strategies to enhance direct and retail sales while fostering strong relationships with clients. What you will do: Operational Leadership * Oversee, lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals. * Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with company objectives. * Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. * Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and quality. * Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet company standards. Financial & Business Strategy * Collaborate with the COO to develop and execute business strategies for growth and profitability. * Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. * Oversee direct sales efforts, including outside sales initiatives, to expand market presence. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to drive performance. * Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation. * Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials that enhance product visibility. * Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular reports on sales activities for senior management. * Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market reach. Team Leadership & Development * Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team. * Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth. * Develop training programs to enhance workforce skills and safety compliance. Customer Experience & Quality Control * Ensure a high standard of customer service and satisfaction. * Oversee quality control processes to maintain excellence in workmanship. * Address customer concerns and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Compliance & Safety * Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. * Oversee workplace safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance. * Manage risk and implement measures to mitigate potential liabilities. Requirements: * Proven experience in sales management or a similar role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. * Experience in direct sales, retail sales, or technical sales is highly desirable. * Experienced in Management of project resource delivery teams. * Proven track record of driving business growth, operational efficiency, and profitability. * Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and safety regulations. * Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management. * Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with company goals. * Strong skills in business development, recruiting, and training in the roofing space. * Ability to analyze data effectively to inform decision-making processes. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members alike. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. * The role will require some degree of travel.
