Full description of the position

Job Summary: Responsible for retail sales and maintaining a neat appearance in the shop by daily sweeping, vacuuming, mopping kitchen and restrooms, dusting and washing windows as needed. Additionally, the attendant will stock beverage coolers throughout the day to keep fully stocked and assist the manager with inventory control for merchandise, beverage and snacks. Job Duties & Responsibilities: A. Inventory reporting through diligent stocking assessing the retail area. B. Report items needing to be ordered to manager before they run out or getting low. C. Prepare all merchandise for sales by marking prices. D. Keep displayed merchandise dust free, neat, and orderly. E. Use a computerized cash register to collect golf fees and make retail merchandise sales. F. Make Tee Times on the books, marking sales in men's and ladies club books. G. Ability to deal with guests in a professional and courteous manner at all times. H. Ensure that morning shift gets carts out of shed and night shift gets carts back in the shed, plugged in. I. Performs related duties as assigned by the manager. J. May be assigned duties under the Chehalis Tribe Emergency Management Plan and Program. Supervision: A. Supervision Received : Manager. B. Supervisory Responsibilities : NONE Minimum Qualifications : A. Education : High School Diploma or G.E.D. B. Experience : Prefer at least 3 months' customer service in retail. Know the game of golf preferred. C.*_Skills & Abilities_: 1) Read, write and speak the English language. 2) Operate a cash register, credit card machine, 3) Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth grade level; 4) Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level in order to be able to make changes, complete shift reports, and account for a variety of products during vendor check-in. 5) Read and understand instructions for operating electronic cash registers and other equipment. 6) Can lift up to 50 pounds and carry cases of soft drinks and juice containers. 7) Can stock shelves and coolers. 8) Can react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher and using it to extinguish the fire. 9) Sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin. 10) Prior experience in retail operation; * Prior experience in receiving retail or other convenience store merchandise, including stock rotation and inventory control. * Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people, including customers, vendors and staff. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge and ability to operate cash register system and make change with speed and accuracy. * Knowledge of basic math. * Prior experience providing work direction in a retail environment. * Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in prioritizing workload. * Demonstrated dependability in a retail environment.
