About the Country Club of York The Country Club of York is a premier private club in York, PA, offering an exceptional experience to our members and guests, built on a foundation of professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork. We're looking for a personable, service-minded Golf Shop Attendant to join our team and help create memorable experiences for our members and guests. Responsibilities * Greet members and guests by name, offering assistance with merchandise, services, and golf-related inquiries for a personalized experience. * Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently (experience using Jonas preferred) * Assist with merchandise displays and general golf shop presentations * Support the golf shop team with purchases, special orders, tee time management, and event sign-ups * Handle cash register operations, including processing payments and managing cash drawers. * Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the shop area at all times. * Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction. Qualifications * Previous golf shop or retail experience preferred, but not required * Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable. * Strong communication and listening skills * Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and a desire to continually learn and improve * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, standing, walking, etc.) * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * A passion for golf and knowledge of golfing equipment is beneficial but not required.
