Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Sales team member to join our retail environment. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at the point of sale. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.(Please understand you will be apart of S.M.A.R.T team that fixes stores) Duties * Operate the cash register and handle all transactions accurately using POS systems. * Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with their needs. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring stock levels are adequate. * Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently while adhering to company policies. * Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to enhance product visibility. * Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies and procedures. * Utilize basic math skills to process transactions and give change accurately. * Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Experience * Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory. * Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. * Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. * Experience in supervising or training staff is advantageous.
