Full description of the position
Overview: We're seeking a driven and strategic Sales Director to lead commercial growth in our industrial solutions division. This role is responsible for driving new business, managing key accounts, and expanding market share in the material handling and automation space. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of technical insight, customer focus, and leadership. Key Responsibilities: * Lead end-to-end sales and account management efforts, driving business development, revenue growth, and profitability across assigned commercial markets. * Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, targeting significant growth (2-3x) in key market segments over the next three years. * Deliver compelling presentations to clients, including technical product overviews tailored to customer needs and applications. * Work closely with internal engineers and third-party design partners to develop integrated solutions that meet client specifications. * Actively manage pricing, delivery terms, and commercial negotiations to close deals and maximize value. * Represent the company at industry trade shows and conferences, cultivating relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers. * Serve as the primary liaison for all customer engagement, including on-site visits and relationship-building efforts. * Collaborate with program and project managers to ensure successful delivery of solutions on schedule and within budget. * Foster a collaborative team culture aligned with organizational goals and values. * Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, emerging technologies, and new product developments. * Partner with the marketing team to contribute to website content and outreach initiatives. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience). * Minimum of five years of sales experience in material handling systems, automation equipment, or industrial components. * Proven success selling into manufacturing industries such as automotive, appliance, packaging, or related sectors. * Strong track record in developing relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at customer organizations. * Excellent communication skills and ability to build cross-functional alignment both internally and externally. * Demonstrated strength in contract negotiation, deal structuring, and interpreting commercial agreements. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools. * Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. * Travel required up to 30% annually.
