Looking for Enthusiastic, Positive, and Dependable Sales Associate We have an immediate opening for a retail Sales Associate for a swimming pool supply store in Sarasota, FL. This is for permanent hire, not seasonal. We know that our employees are essential to our success and we're looking for friendly, talented, customer-focused individuals with positive, helpful attitudes to join our team! An outgoing personality, positive attitude, and willingness to provide the highest level of customer service is a must. Prior experience working retail and/or for a swimming pool company is a plus but not required. We are willing and able to train the right person. Weekends are required, but no late evenings or nights. Requirements: * At least 18 years of age * Able to lift up to 50 pounds, able to spend a lot of the workday walking, bending, standing, and lifting * Able to pass a background check * Must have reliable transportation and ability to be on time for work * High school diploma or GED (or currently in progress) * Outgoing personality and willingness to learn new things * Positive, can-do attitude Job Duties: * Operate point-of-sale system to cash out customers * Help customers with purchases, answer questions, carry purchases to the car * Perform water balance testing for customers, recommend solutions to common pool problems (once trained) * Answer phones, take detailed messages * Stock shelves, report inventory shortages to management * Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten and clean shelves, products, and counter tops * Sweep & mop floors * Breakdown cardboard boxes, take out trash and recycling * Fill chlorine jugs and carry to customer car * Other similar duties, as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Employee discount * Paid time off Shift: * Day shift Work Location: In person
