Diamond Landscaping is looking for a skilled full-time Maintenance Account Manager to join our team. We are a landscaping company that provides expert care and quality services for a variety of properties in the Los Angeles area. Summary of Job Function and Purpose: As an Account Manager working at Diamond Landscaping, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with assigned clients as well as coordinating people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the desired results. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for communication with assigned Clients to understand their needs and expectations. * Ensure all services consistently meet client expectations. * Visit assigned client sites regularly to ensure consistent quality and health of landscape. * Responsible for ensuring proper billing to assigned client. * Function as client advocate to resolve issues related to billing, support, etc. * Act as a liaison between client and crew. * Work alongside assigned superintendent with: * Assist with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. * Ensure crews have proper tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. * Scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees. * Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contribution of employees. * Weekly review and approval of employees' electronic time capture. * Manages crews involved in the maintenance and enhancement of client properties/landscapes * Runs a profitable book of business * Drives improved labor productivity - knows and applies management principles * Drives quality control * Sequences of jobs and deploys crews and equipment * Conducts job start-ups * Apply horticultural knowledge to maintain client properties and solve landscape-related problems * Attracts and develops strong crew members * Encourages crew member growth and development through training and on-the-job opportunities * Applies to company, state, and federal safety policies and requirements every day on every job * Ensures that crew members operate safely and in accordance with applicable policies and requirements Essential Physical Demands * Ability to perform physical activities. * Ability to push, pull and frequently lift/carry objects, tools, materials and equipment. * Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. * Ability to coordinate movement of eyes, hands, fingers, and feet. * Ability to drive a Vehicle? * Ability to see and hear well with or without correction. To avoid safety hazards to themselves and others. Skills/Abilities - Ability to: * Knowledge and ability to use various computer programs and applications, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and email systems * Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and evenings, as required. * Ability to operate various pieces of maintenance equipment and train crew on proper and safe use * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees, and clients * Apply to deliver strong customer service. Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or related field required/ Landscape Certificate or appropriate accreditations and 5+ years of supervisory experience in the residential landscape industry, with recommendations * Valid Driver's License * Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred Work Environment The work environment is a combination of office and outdoors. Employee should be able to perform the work in the following conditions: * Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic * Work near or about natural bodies of water * Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required) * Ability to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit * Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time * Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
