Full description of the position

Description: This position manages incoming quote requests, purchase orders, general customer support and sales generation for an assigned customer base. This role works to obtain and grow sales to these customers by establishing and maintaining positive, trusting customer relationships through responsive and reliable support. This position provides product and service information, resolves problems, and provides basic product assistance. Customer satisfaction and sales growth is achieved by working in alignment with Hydrotech's vision & values, goals, and strategies. This role coordinates efforts with other departments to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Requirements: JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (K.S.A's) Education/Experience * High School diploma or equivalent * 1-2 years customer service experience * 1-2 years Industry inside sales experience * Demonstrated competency & expertise in the following areas as verified by supervisor: * Business & sales processes including, but not limited to, quoting, order entry, vendor purchase order entry, order management, order release/invoicing, customer credit status, digital & online business processes, sales campaign and revenue-generation processes * Systems including, but not limited to, Tribute, CRM, GlobalSearch, Intranet, [please apply online], Teams and other Microsoft Office programs * Basic product knowledge including, but not limited to, vendor portals, pricing, lead times, online resources, vendor contacts, product & discount coding (Tribute) * Sales skills including, but not limited to, customer relationship management, up-selling & cross-selling, lead/opportunity qualification, new customer on-boarding, strategic pricing Licenses/Credentials/Certifications * N/A Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities * Written communication skills - Writing must be concise, organized and clear. * Verbal Communication skills - Convey ideas persuasively; either speaking spontaneously or in a prepared presentation. * Data skills: Correcting, Analyzing, Comparing, Evaluating, Computing, Reporting and Coordinating * Highly skilled with people: Negotiating, Instructing, Communicating, Serving, and Helping. * Team player that relates and works well with clients and employees. * Readily adjusts to rapid changes in technology, products and the marketplace. * Demonstrates business acumen, consultative selling skills, and understands value-based selling. * Basic skills in computer operations and mathematical calculations. Training Qualifications * Communication & Interpersonal Skills Training (ERA or similar) * Sales Process / Sales Skills Training (Sandler, Butler, or similar) * Product Training - in-house training on Bosch Rexroth IH, MH, AE & LT; Sun; Hydac Measurements * Inbound phone calls * Quote lines * Order lines * Account base sales * Account base profit margin * Customer satisfaction (by survey) * Accuracy of quotes/orders * Response time * New customers on-boarded & customer retention rates WORKING CONDITIONS: Working Hours/Environment * Office hours average 40 per week * Work typicaly performed in an indoor office setting Tools and Equipment Used * Computer, copier, fax/scanner, phone, and other typical office equipment Travel * Minimal travel required Physical & Mental Demands * Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long period of time * Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time * Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment * Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc. * Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person * Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around an office environment * Ability to analyze unique situations and develop appropriate response * Additional Mental Requirements: compare, decide, direct, problem solve, analyze, instruct, interpret
