Middleburg is a vertically integrated real estate investment, development, and construction firm specializing in attainable rental housing across the southeastern United States. We are seeking to add a Development Associate to our team, in the Charlotte Office. Our acquisitions, entitlements, financial analysis, capital markets, asset management, property management, development and construction teams all collaborate with each other on their respective responsibilities as it relates to each specific deal to build each project. The Development Associate will report directly to the Charlotte Development Partner. This individual is expected to demonstrate strong business acumen, contributing proactively at both the policy and tactical level, while collaborating effectively across the organization. Also, an individual who has strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of personalities and the ability to keep calm under pressure, communicate effectively and multitask. This position will be full-time, in person, located in the Charlotte, NC office. Knowledge and Experience: 3-5+ years' experience or advanced degree with qualifying work experience; background in development, civil engineering or land development is ideal. Experience with working on multiple developments with deals averaging $30M+ Proven experience to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Comfortable in communicating with all levels of management and employees. A high energy, entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual. Proven ability to display a high attention to detail, analytical, and highly organized. Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
