Retail Sales Associate Penrod Lumber Co Inc is seeking a Retail Sales Associate for our Simpsonville KY location. Box 570 Simpsonville KY 40067 Job Type: Full time Salary Dependent on Experience The Retail Sales Associate position is responsible for the following duties:

• Assist with ordering lumber yard and hardware store materials
• Rotate stock in hardware store first in/first out
• Inventory management for hardware store items
• Keep the hardware store free of debris and clutter
• Operate a cash drawer and process daily invoices for retail customers to include cash, checks, in-store credit account sales, and credit card payments
• Assisting customers with loading and unloading hardware and lumber yard materials purchased
• Requires the ability to consistently and often lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Bending, stooping, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving materials
• Work closely with lumber yard staff to maintain current stock of lumber yard material
• Sell lumber, hardware and building materials, conduct price quotes, process orders and returns, and develop excellent product knowledge
• Create material estimates for customers in a timely manner
• Synchronize delivery and/or pick-ups of customer orders
• Quickly resolve customer complaints and problems
• Able to prioritize; manage time and orchestrate multiple tasks
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Maintaining and merchandising inventory
• Computer skills and basic knowledge of computers preferred
• Phone skills and etiquette preferred Required Credentials and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of retail sales experience preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year of retail lumber material experience preferred
• Must be able to physically lift approximately 50 lbs
• Basic math and analytical skills needed
• Flexible with scheduling
• Background check required
