POSITION SNAPSHOT * _Title_* : Sales Consultant * _Location_* : Pittsburgh, PA * _Responsibilities_* : Coordinate sales efforts to achieve new business revenue goal, manage lifecycle of sales process for property & casualty insurance prospects, manage book of business, conduct client renewal process, prospect research * _Compensation_* : competitive & guaranteed base salary + bonus & commission opportunities, comprehensive benefits, sizable time-off allotment, 4% 401(k) company match * _Additional perks_*: Tuition reimbursement, student loan relief, flexible work schedules, paid holidays POSITION DETAILS Expect your typical day as a Sales Consultant to be focused on the following initiatives: * New Business : Achieve moderate annual new business revenue goal through a consultative sales process. Seek and strategize cross-sale opportunities from all departments. * Relationship Management: Manage a book of business with a total revenue in excess of $500,000. Manage assigned book of business using technical insurance knowledge. Conduct proactive client renewal process. Provide insurance program coverage recommendations/improvements. Institute client service plans with Consultative, Claims and Risk Control divisions. Stewardship and delivery of service plans. Coordinate additional sales and renewal efforts with appropriate team personnel. * Lead Generation : Generate leads through prospect research, personal relationships, centers of influence, client referrals, social selling, and networking. Qualify prospects based on Henderson Brothers sales discovery guidelines. Develop and present proposals and lead sales presentations based upon effective discovery and a consultative selling approach. * Continuing education : Expand and maintain working knowledge of Property & Casualty plans, additional services offered in the department, and regulatory compliance by attending meetings, education sessions, research, and formal continuing education programs.
