Job Summary: The Sales Associate 1 builds on foundational retail responsibilities by delivering an enhanced level of product knowledge, customer service, and operational support. This role ensures accurate compliance practices and assists with store organization and customer loyalty initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Greet and guide customers through product selection, offering knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences. * Ensure all customer identification, documentation, and state compliance protocols are strictly followed. * Support the fulfillment of online, in-store, and curbside pickup orders. * Restock shelves and displays, maintaining proper visual merchandising standards. * Accurately process transactions and assist with managing cash handling during shifts. * Conduct inventory checks, helping to track and report discrepancies. * Resolve customer concerns professionally, escalating issues as needed. * Assist with onboarding and training new Sales Associates. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products, strains, and promotions. * Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols. * Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Abilities: * Advanced customer service and product education skills. * Must be 21 years old. * Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. * Familiarity with cannabis products and compliance practices preferred. * Ability to work independently and within a team. * Proficiency in basic computer and point-of-sale systems. Education and Experience Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 1+ years of retail experience preferred. * Previous cannabis retail experience is advantageous. Physical and Mental Demands: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. * Must be able to stand, walk, and interact with customers for long periods. * Frequent bending, reaching, and operating POS equipment. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
