Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our elevated bohemian boutique. The ideal candidate will be emotionally grounded, have stellar communication skills, a superior work ethic, and be willing to work collaboratively with coworkers and management. You must be comfortable and skilled at taking the initiative and be willing to take ownership of your role and guide others in theirs if the need or opportunity arises. We would prefer that you have extensive experience in luxury boutiques, working with Shopify, and are moderately social media savvy. Punctuality and reliable transportation are an absolute must Who is RAREBIRD? We are a brand new boutique in downtown Sarasota that opened in February 2025. Selling elevated bohemian elegance that gives credence to the vibrancy, beauty, and fluidity found in nature and the world around us, RAREBIRD aims to bring lesser-known international brands to the Sarasota area. We curate brands from around the world, from new designers to a few very select favorite names, creating looks that are all your own. We have diligently and thoughtfully sourced unique, limited production, socially, environmentally, and ethically responsible women's apparel, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry, skincare, fragrances, and home decor for the discriminating shopper. Responsibilities *& Requirements: * Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Be warm and engaging: Greet each customer with a smile, making them feel special when they walk in. Create a friendly, inviting vibe that makes every visit memorable. - Exceptional customer care: Approach clients with an authentic and open demeanor, offering assistance when needed but allowing for an organic and casual shopping experience. - Communication is key: Maintain clear and effective communication (both spoken and written) with management, staff, and clients. - Help keep our boutique looking beautiful and organized, reflecting the elegance of who we are and what we represent. - Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the brands we carry and be willing to share the stories of the brands we choose with our shoppers. - Organized and Multi-Tasking: Skilled at handling multiple tasks while maintaining a cheerful attitude. Able to remain calm, composed, and positive, even during busy times - Positive Attitude: A can-do attitude is a must, ensuring every client leaves with a smile. - Creative Problem-Solving: A thoughtful approach to finding solutions and handling hiccups professionally. - Tech-savvy: Comfortable using the point-of-sale system Shopify, Microsoft Office, and Social Media. - Professional Demeanor: A polished appearance and a friendly, approachable attitude that puts clients at ease and makes them feel cherished. Experience: You must have at least two continuous years of luxury retail experience. Experience working with Shopify, Microsoft Office, and social media is required. You must be able to provide at least two reliable references for your past retail experience. There are two available positions, so scheduling flexibility is also necessary.
