Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and business development, with the ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and lead initiatives that enhance our competitive edge. Duties & Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain customer contacts and relationships for assigned current and prospective customers, ensuring that all customers receive effective communication that responds to their needs appropriately. * Develop new business relationships to secure new business to achieve desired revenue streams. * Continually explore and generate new business leads. * Work with customers, VP of Sales/Business Development, and Program Managers to clearly define and document goals and objectives of new product launches. * Partner with the Launch team to ensure a seamless handoff with the Program Manager and be the main customer interface for presentations and project schedule updates once a program has been won. * Be the main launch interface for responsible customer projects reporting status for all projects to the VP of Sales/Business Development on a weekly basis. * Monitor prices and costs to maintain optimal margins. * In partnership with Estimating, Purchasing, Program Managers, and Quality Engineers, negotiate prices on parts, tooling, and gaging to be competitive and profitable. * Assist Launch team to ensure that the overall launch process meets the customer's and the company's needs. * Work with customers on commercial issues. * Develop pricing modeling to negotiate price increases. * Complete monthly report outs for your responsible customers and other launch related activities. * Provide feedback on program launch performance from customer perspective.
