Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers and ensure a pleasant shopping experience will be key to our success. Duties * Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. * Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection. * Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability. * Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. * Supervise junior staff or new hires as needed, providing guidance on store policies and procedures. * Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. * Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries over the phone. Experience * Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. * Basic knowledge of retail math and stock management practices is a plus. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
