About Us: Violette Bakehouse is a new and charming bakery specializing in French cakes and pastries, including eclairs, macarons, croissants, and entremets. We pride ourselves on our friendly atmosphere and exceptional customer service. As we grow, we're looking for a Bakery Clerk who is not only great with people but also flexible, autonomous, and eager to pitch in across different areas of our business. Job Description: As a Sales Associate at Violette Bakehouse, you will be the face of our bakery, providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and welcoming sales environment. In addition to handling customer orders, you will assist in packaging baked goods, washing dishes, and supporting the baking process as needed. We are looking for a motivated, adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with a variety of tasks. Your responsibilities will include: Customer Service & Sales: * Setting up baked goods and desserts in the display case each morning * Handling pastries with care and attention to presentation * Providing friendly, attentive service to all guests * Operating the register (card payments only) * Answering the phone and assisting with customer inquiries * Keeping the bakery tidy and welcoming throughout the day * Washing dishes and helping kitchen staff * Taking initiative and being a team player in a small business environment Requirements: * Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred * Interest in French pastries and baked goods * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Ability to stand for extended periods of time * Willing to learn and participate to a large variety of tasks Benefits: * Competitive hourly wage * Lunch included * Employee discount on our delicious pastries * Opportunities for growth and learning in a small, expanding bakery. * Friendly and supportive work environment Shifts: * You will be working from Tuesday to Saturday from: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m * Expected hours: 27h per week * Pay: $12 / hour plus + tips ($4 to 6 / hour) How to Apply: If you are a people-loving, flexible, and dependable individual with a passion for both sales and baked goods, we would love to hear from you!
