Outside Sales, Event Rental Company: San Fernando Valley Full Time Van Nuys, CA Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000 DOE Sales driven, outgoing, self-motivated person with sales and leadership ability. The INDIVIDUAL MUST HAVE EVENT RENTAL SALES EXPERIENCE IN THE RENTAL INDUSTRY , computer, and organizational skills. Must work well with others and have excellent communication skills and pay close attention to detail. What you will be doing: In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for building client relationships and servicing customers in a polite, helpful, friendly, and professional manner, whether in person, on the phone, or in written communication. Clients will need assistance with product selection, quotes, orders, and order adjustments. Specific Duties may include: * Determining customer's needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions * Following a product/supply checklist for each customer's job and up-selling additional products and supplies * Answering telephones and entering sales orders * Coordinating customer pickups with the warehouse * Following up on deliveries to ensure materials arrived on time with all items accounted for * Addressing and resolving service concerns should they arise * Cultivating new business and building client relationships * Complete event contracts from beginning to end which includes receiving payments and necessary information for the logistical team * Regular follow-up on all leads and quotes * Be available outside standard hours for event emergencies and last-minute requests * Work in an extremely fast-paced environment * Attend job setups * Make cold calls to generate new leads Qualifications include: * Previous event planning experience and/or experience working at an event rental company * Knowledge of event rentals a MUST * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Multitask and organizational skills * Effective time management and prioritization * Basic computer skills including the ability to learn and adapt to new software. (Training on rental software will be provided) * Positive demeanor and ability to work well with others * Detail and service oriented * Ability to use mathematics to solve problems * Strong English language skills.
