Job Title: Construction Business Development Representative Location: Austin, TX Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: VP of Operations Summary The Construction Business Development Representative at The Burt Group will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities. This individual should have strong industry knowledge, established relationships, and the confidence to represent The Burt Group at networking events, industry functions, and one-on-one meetings. You'll be responsible for creating new connections and converting them into long-term business relationships. Key Responsibilities * Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial construction industry. * Attend and set up networking events, happy hours, dinners, coffee chats, and other industry-related functions to meet potential clients * Develop and maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, and other key decision-makers * Acting as a main point of contact to ensure client satisfaction * Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities in the Central Texas construction market * Seeks opportunities to expand business with current clients * Build rapport with current clients to maintain a strong relationship * Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions * Follow up on referrals and previous client contacts Requirements * 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relations in the construction industry * Existing network of industry contacts is a strong plus * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Comfortable with attending in-person events, including evenings and weekends as needed * Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
