Now hiring a customer service person for growing historical tent maker in Rochester, NH. This position is part time to full time, Monday through Friday usual business hours. Position is in Rochester, NH not available as a remote position. The ideal candidate will be able to lift and move large pieces of canvas and boxes up to 50 pounds. Good communications skills required - must be comfortable talking on the phone and possess basic math skills. Experience with point of sale and inventory control computer systems is helpful. RESPONSIBILITIES Process online orders using database program: * Update the manufacturing schedule * Check for payment, collect deposits by credit card. * Take phone orders, answer basic questions about ordering. Pack and ship finished orders: * Keep track of in-stock items and ship them out as needed. * As products are manufactured, ensure that all items on order are packed. * Calculate shipping costs and take final payments Inventory Control: * Help maintain stock for orders * Monitor and reorder materials for manufacturing Other duties will include working with Tentsmiths owners, canvas stitchers, shipping company drivers. MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Strong understanding of quality work and ability to perform it Clear and professional communication skills Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance, and 100 pounds with assistance Interest in history, or camping, or both Ability to learn a complex product and extensive catalog Customer Service experience preferred Tentsmiths is the premiere manufacturer of historical canvas tents and is based in Rochester, NH.
