Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while facilitating their vehicle maintenance and repair needs. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians. Duties * Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assessing their vehicle service needs. * Provide detailed explanations of services required, including oil changes, tire service, shocks and struts replacement, and other vehicle maintenance tasks. * Utilize mechanical knowledge to accurately estimate repair costs and timeframes. * Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining quality standards. * Manage customer records and service history efficiently using auto service management software. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to service or repairs. * Promote additional services based on customer needs, enhancing overall sales performance. * Maintain a clean and organized service area to promote a professional environment. Qualifications * Previous experience in an automotive service environment is preferred. * Strong mechanical knowledge, with familiarity in areas such as oil changes, air brakes, shocks and struts, tire service, and general vehicle maintenance. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers. * Proven sales skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. * Proficiency in auto estimating software is a plus. * A valid driver's license is required.
