AT A GLANCE Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Home Furnishing Associate (HFA) to join one of our Retail teams in the Fayetteville store. The HFA is responsible for selling complete furniture solutions and sleep systems to our customers. The HFA is devoted to helping individuals and families create fresh and new designs in their homes: not just selecting furniture but helping them customize their living space and fitting them with the perfect sleep system to meet their needs. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER * Greeting guests upon arriving in our retail showroom, learning their motivation for their visit, and developing a lasting customer relationship * Presenting and discussing various home furnishing product options, based upon your discovery of your prospective guests including lifestyle, needs, and goals during the sales consultation * Utilizing the successfully proven company sales process and upselling techniques * Prospecting potential sales, special events, and financing options * Assisting customers in financing, purchasing, delivery, and ultimate satisfaction * Increasing personal knowledge of products, sales techniques, and promotions through continuous professional training and development * Dynamic on-site job training programs * Sales culture allows autonomy and entrepreneurial structure WHAT YOU 'LL NEED TO SUCCEED * High energy 'people person' attitude, relentless in pleasing the customer * Professional, driven, positive, resilient, and achievement-focused personality * Entrepreneurial outlook, self-directed, and team-oriented * Coachable, goal-oriented, and performance-driven individuals who are always willing to learn * Experience in 'high customer expectation' positions, such as sales, hospitality, and various retail environments * Detailed individuals with strong follow-up and follow-through * Excellent time-management * Strong interpersonal and communication skills: a great listener * Enjoys a fast-paced retail sales environment with the ability to work a flexible 40-hour work week including nights, weekends, and holidays * Basic computer knowledge is required * A high school diploma is required * Computer skills/technology skills * Competent in the use of iPads and tablets * Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written * Mathematical skills * Ability to perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT * This role is primarily performed on the salesfloor.
