Job Summary: The Retail Sales Associate plays a very important role. In this position, it will be essential to greet and engage with all guests, as you are a very important impression of the business. Below are the fundamental areas that each Retail Sales Associate must perform on a daily basis to ensure positive retail operations. * Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Inform customers about sales, promotions, and upcoming events * Build guest relationships through excellent customer service and honest recommendations * Effectively process transactions through Gift Shop POS system * Stock and merchandise sales floor as directed * Process incoming merchandise as directed * Assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness in the back stock room and on the sales floor * Other related duties as directed by management Qualifications and Experience: * Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management * Ability to multitask, while being attentive to guests and remaining flexible to the needs of the business * Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment * Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service * Previous retail experience or similar experience on the sales floor a plus * High school diploma or equivalent * Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders * Must be willing to work peak hours including nights, weekends, and holidays * Must be capable of lifting 40 lbs Ba9jVCOP06
