This position will be based out of Austin/Houston Texas. JOB SUMMARY: The NW Natural Water Texas Business Development Representative is responsible for growing NW Natural Water?s customer service territory by successfully introducing the company to residential real estate developers, gathering data about proposed developments, shepherding financial models to determine whether a development fits the company?s investment requirements, preparing proposals and contracts, and ultimately assisting with the execution of agreements with developers. The Texas Business Development Representative is involved in the process until all infrastructure in the community is installed and is expected to maintain the developer relationship on an ongoing basis. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Meet with developers/builders on a continuous basis to discuss potential opportunities and manage existing projects. * Attend city council/planning & zoning committee meetings throughout Texas. * Meet with housing market experts on a quarterly basis. * Attend networking events such as the Home Builder?s Association, Community Builders Advisory Services, and other related development/home building groups. * On a regular basis, drive growth corridors to track ongoing/upcoming developments. * Coordinate with colleagues from SiEnergy, NW Natural Holding?s Texas natural gas utility, on joint water/ sewer/ gas proposals and projects?. Work closely with NW Natural Water SW regional manager and construction staff on future projects. * Source new prospects and projects for senior business development management to evaluate. * Requires travel to all Texas markets on an ongoing basis. * Travel ranges from one to two nights a week. Company vehicle will be made available. Travel may include occasional trips to assist with development projects in NW Natural Holdings? other operating jurisdictions across the western US.
