Full description of the position
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of sales experience within logistics and freight forwarding, possess strong skills in business development, customer relationship management, and strategic planning. You will collaborate closely with sales teams to identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and foster lasting client relationships. Responsibilities * Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their logistics needs and provide tailored solutions. * Collaborate with sales teams to create effective strategies for lead generation and conversion. * Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company objectives. * Negotiate contracts and agreements with potential clients to secure profitable partnerships. * Utilize CRM software, such as Salesforce, to track leads, manage customer interactions, and report on sales activities. * Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth. * Prepare presentations and proposals for prospective clients that clearly articulate the value proposition of our services. Qualifications * 5+ years of sales experience within freight forwarding industry. * Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry. * Knowledgeable in freight pricing, shipping routes, international logistics -Ocean (80%) & Air (20%), and global trade challenges. * A proven track record of finding and closing new business deals. * Analytical mindset with financial acumen and project management capabilities. * Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. * Proficiency in customer relationship management practices, driven, and results oriented in nature. * Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. * Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet department goals. * Familiarity with logistics market analysis techniques and strategic planning processes. * Experience using software tools for sales tracking and reporting (Salesforce preferred).
