Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services.
• Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively upsell and cross-sell.
• Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary to ensure smooth operations during shifts. Skills
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive shopping experience.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably in a grocery store setting.
• Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for inventory management and sales tracking.
• Proficiency in using POS systems for processing payments and managing sales data.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
• Supervisory skills to guide and support team members when needed.
