Full description of the position

Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Development Manager to lead business development efforts, work active pipelines, build new business, and help shape our sales strategy at LegalGEN. With this role, you will have the opportunity to manage your own portfolio, develop your own client base, and operate as a self-starter without heavy oversight. Your success will directly translate to growth opportunities, increased earnings, and potential equity ownership. The ideal candidate has experience selling SaaS solutions, understands the demands of working in a startup environment, and is eager to roll up their sleeves to create results. Key Responsibilities * Manage and grow your own client portfolio with full ownership over sales activities and account relationships. * Work existing leads and pipelines while aggressively identifying and building new sales opportunities. * Sell LegalGEN - a SaaS-based legal solutions for attorneys and law firms * Develop, refine, and expand sales collateral and marketing materials to support the sales process. * Operate autonomously to manage daily activities, pipeline strategy, and client communications. * Organized, with ability to adapt to CRM tools tools and to track, manage, and share optimize sales performance and lead engagement. * Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, primarily attorneys and law firm owners. * Provide market feedback to the executive team to assist in refining product offerings and go-to-market strategies. Qualifications Required: * 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably selling SaaS solutions. * Strong entrepreneurial spirit and comfort operating with autonomy in a startup setting. * Proven ability to build and manage a client portfolio independently. * Technical understanding of software solutions and the ability to communicate value clearly. * Proficiency using CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) with disciplined pipeline management. * Highly organized, self-motivated, persistent, and able to prioritize tasks effectively. * Strong communication skills for engaging with senior executives and decision-makers. Preferred: * Prior experience working at a SaaS startup * Previous experience selling into the legal industry or working with law firms. * Background in developing sales enablement materials or improving sales process documentation. * Familiarity with the estate planning, legal services, or law firm operations space. * or commission-driven environment. * Background in building or scaling business development teams. Compensation * Draw-based compensation based on candidate seniority and experience. * Transition to a full commission-based structure after the initial draw period. * Residual income opportunities tied to client relationships and portfolio retention. * Equity/shareholder options available for senior-level hires based on contribution and tenure. * Performance-based bonuses and additional incentives.
