Full description of the position

We are seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative. The candidate should have experience working with Manufacturer's Reps (Reps), and directly with Customer engineering and purchasing personnel, at lower levels and at the executive level. The primary function of this position is to lead their sales team (FAEs, Inside Sales, Reps) to generate new business for EDT. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for revenue growth, developing and managing accounts, and building long-lasting relationships with customers, reps and other channel partners. This is an onsite position based in our North Andover, Massachusetts Sales Office with occasional travel within the territory (Eastern US). Responsibilities: 1. Work in conjunction with our Manufacturer Reps to identify customers, strategies and plans to enable new design wins and revenue. 2. Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner. 3. Prepare and deliver sales proposals, presentations, and reports to effectively showcase our products and capabilities. 4. Develop a good understanding of EDT products, embedded systems and the touch display industry, including market trends, competitors, and customer needs. 5. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through the life of the customer engagement. 6. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. 7. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, operations, and executive management in the US and Taiwan to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. 8. Prepare/submit internal sales reports as required, and attend internal monthly sales meetings with executive management and headquarters sales team members. Requirements: 1. Minimum 5 years technical sales experience (direct to customer) or Field Application Engineering experience 2. Two years managing Manufacturer's Reps 3. The ideal candidate has an understanding of TFT displays and touch panels. Candidates that also have Embedded Systems experience (boards, semiconductors, and/or software) are preferred. Candidates with experience in at least one of these areas will be considered. 4. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. 5. Professionalism and strong presentation skills in both in-person and online meetings. 6. Proficiency in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and reports using Microsoft Office applications. 7. Customer service skills with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. 8. Basic technical aptitude, with a willingness to learn and understand the technical aspects the company's products, technologies and capabilities. 9. Negotiation and problem-solving skills to address customer needs, resolve conflicts, and drive successful outcomes. 10. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, effectively engaging with internal teams. 11. Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple customer accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 12.
