We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment, specifically within a grocery store setting. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers by assisting them with their needs, promoting products, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide recommendations, utilizing upselling techniques where appropriate.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by restocking shelves and ensuring merchandise is displayed correctly.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Answer customer inquiries over the phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing information about products and services.
• Utilize basic math skills to perform retail math calculations for pricing and inventory management.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service. Experience
• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures is a plus.
• A willingness to learn about products and sales techniques to enhance customer interactions.
