Full description of the position

* Develops and maintain marketing plan and sales budget with the General Manager. * Provides sales training to front office staff. * Participates in revenue management calls. * Schedule and completes sales appointments. * Attends business, community and civic affair events in the local area. * Ensures teamwork and enhances cooperation between all departments. * Works with operations team to greet group events. * Secure group business for hotel, blocking rooms, sending contract and follow up on cut off dates. * Assists with follow up on room lists, direct bill and other requirements of previously booked business. * Facilitates inside sales leads and help with strategy to develop sales plans. * Maintain sales files and ensure accurate entry in sales system. * Organize work week to include a strong prospecting plan each week targeting business for hotel needs. * Follow company policies and procedures.
