Tree & Shrub Buyer/Sales

Responsibilities

:

• Meets annual sales goal as jointly established by City Escape and you. Maintains annual Shrink Percentage of 2% or less. Documents loss on Shrink Tracking Form.
• Ensures proper watering, fertilizing and pruning merchandise to ensure its livelihood and maintains it in sell-able condition.
• Communicates product concerns as they arise, identifies cause: grower quality or care quality opportunities. Works with management to determine disposition of said merchandise.
• Demonstrates knowledge of merchandise being sold with every customer interaction to have a positive impact on sales performance. Self-educates to continue growing knowledge & skill.
• Knows on hand inventory: Stock overages & shortages. Notes customer requests for future buys.
• Participates in purchasing w/management to ensure a supply that meets business and customer demand/requests. Compares pricing across vendors to drive profitability.
• Stays in tune with industry trends & standards. Actively seeks potential new vendors.
• Forges positive relationship with tree & shrub vendors to ensure best selections are received.
• Timely resolves merchandise receiving errors and damages for proper credit.
• Merchandises yard for ease of shop ability. Keeps like items grouped together. Rotates merchandise; considers bloom time/season and sell through. Creates and places marketing to ensure that is educational to customer and helps drive positive sales. Ensures all merchandise is tagged/priced at all times.
• Actively sells delivery & installation of Trees & Shrubs. Uses Tree & Shrub Guarantee as a selling point. Communicates with management to schedule deliveries & installations. Additional Job Functions:
• Ability to receive and oversee product shipments.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment. Experience/Skills Required:
• Proven track record of delivering financial results.
• Strong communication skills.
• High level of integrity, trust, maturity, and professionalism.
• Knowledge of Trees and Shrubs
• Passion for plants
• Degree or Certificated in Horticulture preferred. Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $23.00 per hour
