                Full description of the position
Overview We are seeking a dynamic Sales and Account Manager to build and maintain effective long-term relationships with our key customer base, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and increased revenues. The successful candidate will identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities while serving as the primary interface for all products and services. Summary of Job Duties * Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure a high level of satisfaction and increased revenues. * Identify, develop, and typically close new sales opportunities. * Manage a limited number of key/strategic accounts, maintaining relationships with clients at mid-level, senior management, or executive level. * Serve as the primary interface for all products and services, creating demand by communicating the value proposition to customers. * Achieve revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. * Conduct regular business review meetings with the customers' mid-level and senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies. Qualifications Required Education : Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. Experience : 5-7 years of experience in sales and account management with knowledge of the transportation industry. Technical Skills : * Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new computer skills quickly. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Knowledge of Salesforce.com and SAP preferred. * Skilled in consultative selling, value-added selling, needs assessment, and creating and delivering effective presentations to senior management. * Strong account planning and time management skills. Communication Skills : * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. * Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. * Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. * Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills : * Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. * Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Problem-Solving Skills : * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
