Full description of the position
Position Summary: The Sales Operations Assistant supports the Director of Business Development by performing a variety of administrative, research, and coordination tasks aimed at driving growth initiatives. This role plays a critical part in maintaining internal communication, preparing reports, tracking leads, and supporting the team in executing strategies to expand our client base across restaurants, hotels, catering companies, and related markets. Key Responsibilities: * Research & Outreach Support * Research potential business opportunities including restaurants, hotels, and catering companies to expand the client base. * Identify key decision-makers within target businesses and collect relevant contact information. * Assist in preparing outreach strategies and follow-up plans for potential clients. * Coordinate meetings and calls with prospects, ensuring timely follow-ups and appropriate documentation. * Sales & Performance Reporting * Run daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports using internal systems. * Track sales trends, client engagement, and market opportunities to support business development strategy. * Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to provide actionable insights. * Administrative & Communication Support * Draft and send daily email updates to the sales team regarding internal changes, goals, and expectations. * Manage internal schedules, documents, and communication related to business development. * Assist with general administrative duties including email management, data entry, file organization, and internal communications. * Marketing & Proposal Preparation * Create presentation decks for business proposals, new programs, and partnership opportunities. * Support development of marketing materials, sales collateral, and client-facing documents. * Compile and maintain a well-organized database of leads, prospects, and business contacts. * Team Coordination & Special Projects * Work closely with the Director of Business Development to communicate expectations, performance benchmarks, and weekly sales goals to the sales team. * Support special projects and growth initiatives as needed. Essential Skills & Qualifications: * Strong organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail. * Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM tools is a plus. * Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and meet deadlines. * Analytical thinking with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of initiative. * Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information. Education & Experience Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. * 2+ years of experience in an administrative, sales support, or coordinator role. * Experience supporting sales, marketing, or business development teams preferred. Work Conditions & Expectations: * Part-time or Full-time, 25- 40 hours per week. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. * Flexibility for occasional extended hours or projects depending on business needs. * Must maintain confidentiality and exhibit strong professionalism at all times.
