Full description of the position

We are looking for the ideal candidate to join our team with the following skills: * Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms * Strong knowledge of computer software to include Microsoft Office products such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine * Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail * Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts Responsibility include but not limited to: Sales * Manage new, incoming sales inquiries by gathering necessary information, completing intake forms, confirming schedule availability, and qualifying leads.Assist in securing new leads and developing business * Grow sales by ensuring inquiries and leads are responded to in an enthusiastic and timely manner * Manage event production to include proposal writing, menu development, equipment and logistics, floor plans, and catering software system data management * Ensure comprehensive files are maintained for client management * Ensure proper follow up with clients before and after events * Establish, nurture, develop and enhance all business and customer client relationships. * Work collaboratively with service and operations teams to ensure we are providing the highest level of customer service and developing a culture of no clients should be a one time client * Establish and maintain positive relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, and vendors. * Attend meetings with catering team on a regular basis to discuss new orders and events requirements. * Work collaboratively with culinary team in the development of quality, creativity and timely presentations of food for tastings, client gifts and proposals * Maintain an exemplary level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive issues * Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule. * Work with leadership to develop sales plans and strategies to support company goals and objectives * Other duties and special projects as assigned to ensure the success of Knife & Faulk Marketing * Develop prospecting and new business development strategies * Develop a marketing plan to drive business growth and establish social media presence * Network by joining associations and becoming involved in the business and neighborhood communities operations and attend events as required and needed * Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends. * Other duties and special projects as assigned to ensure the success of Knife & Faulk MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma or equivalent * Two (2) years related sales experience, preferably in catering or equivalent education and experience * Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays * Proven work experience as a Sales Representative * Excellent knowledge of MS Office * Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships * Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales * Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills * Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills * Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs * Relationship management skills and openness to feedback PREFERRED: * Bachelor's degree in a related field * Three (3) years of sales experience preferably in a catering environment * Experience working in a similar setting Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Schedule: * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Supplemental Pay: * Commission pay License/Certification: * Driver's License (Preferred) Work Location: In person
